We built these sessions based on your feedback and input. Several sessions are offered from your peers, our national partners, and folks that support your work.

Keynote Presentation: In a age of increasing accountability and mandates, how do we focus on the strategies and plans that matter most. In this session we will learn how to identify and stay "focused on the focus" and true to the tasks that really make a difference.
In this session we will be introduced to the key components of being a trailblazing coach and teacher. We will examine what an effective lcoaching cycle looks like and how we can encourage others to join us.
Coaches will deepen understanding of how to coach teachers to utilize Tier 2/3 Decision Guide and Resource Maps to plan for academic interventions and monitor response to intervention. We will provide an overview of ELA and Math intervention protocols which will support development of intervention action plans.
In an ideal coaching situation, the teacher is excited to be guided and the coach has all the answers...but what happens when that's not the case? This session will address the challenges that can come in any coaching situation and provide practical solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to have crucial and transparent conversations that will better prepare them for unexpected coaching circumstances.
In this session, we'll focus on how to make coaching conversations and communication more helpful to both teachers and coaches. To help foster a partnership approach with teachers, we'll examine the 8 key coaching skills that coaches can use to help teachers to feel supported and empowered, not judged or supervised. Coaches will practice using those skills various coaching scenarios and reflecting on their choices.
Join the Elementary ELA Team to engage in February's Early Release Day content as a learner. Our session is designed to culminate our deep learning around the comprehension and vocabulary portion of the ELA Framework. We will do this by watching Pasco County teachers elevating the Common Vision of Instructional Excellence in Literacy and making direct connections to the Instructional Practice Guide indicators. It's going to be a highly collaborative, fun-filled session!

Description: This "coaches only" session is for coaches participating in Blazing a Path: Making An Impact Cohort 3. The "Impact Cycle" is a proven process for making a difference in classrooms. Sharing what we learn along the way can accelerate growth and amplify our impact as coaches. Spend time getting to know basics of an "impact cycle" and better understand the coaches that will share in this journey with you. Session Outcomes: 1. Office 365: Crash Course If you are not familiar with Pasco County School's cloud collaboration and storage solution, Office 365, this session is for you. We will cover accessibility features with the online suite, as well as applications including Forms, Sway, Whiteboard, and more. If you want to dabble in these applications with an opportunity to learn more through self paced PD or by scheduling future session opportunities for yourself or your staff, feel free to join!
Informal session to share details about our annual Pasco Students Speak event. The intent of this session is to allow time for coaches to ask questions, brainstorm, and share ideas with one another related to Pasco Students Speak.
Using NWEA Data- *Identify students with lower Lexile ranges *Determine if reading comprehension challenges are vocabulary or main idea based *Identify the students who lack will, not skill *Offer strategies for each of the above learning barriers
In this session coaches will be provided with information on Tier 2 Standards-Based Recovery using APEX, and strategies to get started and/or elevate current practices.
We will look at the current TCI Social Studies curriculum and examine how Unit Inquiry Projects with Compelling Questions and Storylines can engage students to ask question, make a claim supported by the information and evidence they've gathered, and how they can take informed action.
This session will introduce and train coaches to use an ELA Assignment and Student Work Review Protocol to analyze ELA assignments and student work samples. We will orient to the tool, practice and align on ratings, and discuss application of the tool and practice in coaching work.
I could not select more than one for questions #4 - Secondary Coaches (ELA and Social Studies). This session will provide secondary educators with resources to support civics and world history standards and requirements. Through a whole child approach, teachers will leave equipped with the resources and strategies to prepare students to successfully navigate these important topics in their everyday lives.
In this session, participants will examine their current instructional playbooks to 1) practice using a continuous improvement process to ensure that their playbooks reflect current teacher needs and 2) to ensure that they're offering the best high-impact instructional strategies to use on their goals for students. The sessions should equip coaches with a process that they can use individually or as a group to ensure that their playbooks are as helpful as possible as the school program changes and grows.
In this session coaches will be provided with the most up-to-date information on data sets available in myEWS (Student Data sheets, School Data sheets) and how to use this data when problem-solving across the three school teams in the building (SLT, PLC, SIT). Participants will leave with strategies and resources to support data-based decision-making and action planning to immediately bring back and implement.
During our time together, secondary math coaches will collaborate on the progress of the Try and Apply phase of our current adoption process along with the BEST standards.
